Rabih Brair

Co-founder & Managing Director

Rabih is the co-founder of tandem and began his professional career at Andersen in Montreal where he worked in both corporate finance and audit. After obtaining his CPA in 2001, Rabih returned to Dubai and continued his audit career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He then joined the FMCG sector holding a number of positions in finance at Mars. Throughout his 5-year tenure at Mars, his responsibilities progressed from regional financial planning and budget control to become the Finance Manager for Mars UAE’s distribution operations encompassing accounting, planning, credit control and senior management team responsibilities. Rabih managed a team of 8 people and most notably led the local roll-out of a Mars Inc. global cash flow transformation initiative.

Since 2008, Rabih has been leveraging his 20+ years of professional experience to support SMEs and family offices in overcoming real-life challenges. Through both ad hoc projects as well as interim secondments, he has played a significant role in the scale up, diversification and transformation of several regional companies. Rabih has served on the board of several Dubai-based early-stage companies, both in the capacity of a non-executive director and shareholder.

Rabih holds a B.Comm in Accounting from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and a CPA from the State of Delaware, USA.

Alexander Damouni

Partner

Alexander has worked for 15+ years in strategic and corporate advisory roles, where he manages strategy-relate and transformation projects for private and public sector clients. He has facilitated the scale-up and growth of two companies to turn profitable as acting CEO. Alexander has been responsible for developing turnaround and transformational strategies for struggling businesses across various industries, defining the target operating model, the strategic roadmap for growth, organizational restructuring, and cost savings initiatives.

Throughout his career, Alexander has set up and managed transformative Project Management Offices (PMOs), including running the transformative PMO for MarkaVIP (one of the largest venture-backed e-commerce companies in the MENA region), overseeing the company’s project portfolio in 8 countries and aligning 10 business functions with strategic goals. He also ran a PMO for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in several countries, ensuring that projects are aligned with organizational goals, effectively managed, and contribute to the overall mission of the United Nations.

Alexander holds an MBA (First in Class) from Hult International Business School and a Bachelor’s in Economics from McGill University. He also has several post-graduate certifications, including a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Master Certificate in Systems Design & Project Leadership.
